So I just picked up a DK Jr machine.

The game has some issues with gameplay. For instance, DK grab onto a vine to the left of him, instead he kinda hovers in the middle of the vine. Also, he seems to grab vines that don't exist. I am new to arcade machines. What could be the cause of this? Bad ROM? Bad Board?

when you mean "hover" he doesn't even grab the vine on the left of him, no matter what vine it is. What could be the problem with that?

Can anyone tell if this was a DK cab at first turned into a DK Jr. cab? Or was it always DK Jr.?

When you're on a vine in the first video and "jump off it" going right, it looks like he is trying to grab the vine to the right of him (even though there is no vine there). This is normal and is only how he is animated. What's weird is that you can actually move left and right, but you can't grab a vine to the left. Sounds to me like you have some weird, fauly bootleg pcb. Can you take a picture of the pcb?

BTW, it sounds like someone is constantly peeing in your video. Hilarious.

There is even a picture of him grabbing a vine that does not exist. The board says Nintendo on it.

Take a look at those caps on that first pic...Could that be an issue?
