One of the games that stuck out the most, was Ms. Pac-Man: Special color edition for the Game Boy Color.
And now for the review...
The cartridge comes with Ms. Pac-Man and as a bonus, Super Pac-Man!
How do they live up to their predecessors? First of all I have to pick at the screen. Due to the GBC's very tiny screen,
it would be hard to have a fullscreen maze, and good graphics. Because of that we are treated to a scrolling screen.
However, because it's a scrolling screen, you can never know the exact location of every ghost, which gets tedious.
Also, Ms. Pac-Man has a cartoonish look, which is cute but does not recreate the arcade version very well.
As for the sounds, they are completely alien compared to the arcade version. In fact, it was so annoying I had to scroll down
the sound to prevent my ears from bleeding. The same pretty much goes for Super Pac-Man, which on a D-Pad feels flimsy
compared to arcade version with a Joystick. Why can't they put joysticks on a Game Boy?
All in all, if you are a fan of the beautiful wife of the Man of Pac, I suggest you pick this game up.
Despite its flaws, its a pretty decent recreation.
Watch out for more of my reviews!
EDIT: I found an Emulator for the Game Boy! Yay! Here's some pics of the game:
