Hi

I have returned to try Mame again. I tried it with poor results in 2001. I figured, since I have a NBA Jam 4 player machine, I may be able to use this cabinet and convert it somehow. I plan on reading the forums and getting a game plan together.

My cabinet needs a new monitor so I was thinking of adding a pc and pc monitor. Maybe this would be a better route than repairing and usine jamma. Any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks Have a great day!

Hey oneway and welcome to AF!

That is a sweet cab for a MAME project indeed. Buy a second-hand PC and an iPac and you're ready to roll with it. You could go for a PC monitor but of course a Wells Gardner D9800 or similar would've been even more awesome. It's a pretty huge cabinet and I'd rather see a 27" arcade monitor in it than a 21" CRT with a large bezel. :)

Don't forget to post your worklog if you decide to convert it to a MAME-cab!

Thanks.

I will convert it. I am good with hardware but I suck at the software. I can't wait to get it torn apart and in my paint booth.
(I paint cars and motorcycles on the side, and do vinyl graphics also)

I will have lots of questions on software. I will take lots of pics.

Thanks
