TUBE swapping

Postby mrazy1 on Mon Nov 21, 2011 6:24 pm

I have a MK2 that has a bad tube. (I think). I dont have another chassis to connect to the tube nor do I have another tube to connect to the chassis. The voltage on the chassis to tehe tube look good. 130 v b+ 430 and tube guns all have same voltages on white screen.
The Tube is A63LIC36X I found a sanyo TV with an A63AFX32X. I Know that the A63 is 25inches in cm. I cant remember what the other 6 letters and numbers are for. ANYONE?? I look up the Numbers on the B-K chart and I didnt find an exact number match. A63AFX on donor tube and A63L on original tube. both are the same cr numbers. have not checked for ohmage on Donor tube. but I read on 8liners that yo can add resistor to lower or make higher the OHMage on the yoke. ANY Other help or caution I need to know about before I try this on the 30th of this month?

Thanks Have a Great Turkey Day all
