Setting up MAME

Postby leo on Wed Sep 23, 2009 11:50 am

Hi everyone.

I am trying to put together a complete MAME setup here, but a lot of the games won't start. MAME says that there are files missing, but I am 100% positive I have the rom images for all of them. I have scanned all roms in MAMEUI64 v.134 and many of the games that aren't working shows up in MAMEUI64 as playable.

Help anyone?

Several games requires CHDs (hard disk images), so make sure you have the required ROMs, CHDs and also BIOS'es (e.g. if you want to run a NeoGeo game you need the Neo Geo bios). My guess is that you're lacking the required CHDs.

Hi all,

Sorry for noob question here, but how we find out which file between CHD and BIOS that needed to run the game. And where we can get it?

Thanks.
