galaga-style shooter search

Postby captain0terror on Fri Sep 03, 2010 5:18 pm

I'm searching for a game i used to play in middle school, so the time frame would have been between 1985 and up, tho the game could have obviously not been brand-new and been made before that, which was probably the case.

the game was very much like galaga, in that enemies would come in waves and align in rows, and you could dock ships, but in this game, you could dock 3 ships instead of just 2 in galaga, and all the ships were different shapes/sizes, looking something vaguely like this:

Please excuse the crude drawring! = )

All ships could fire, thus increasing your firepower the more ships you had docked together. i can't remember if one ship was destroyed if you could still use the other parts or not. The "docking" sequence was in-between stages i think...

i've searched exhaustively for this any help finding the title of the game would be greatly appreciated!

man oh man, I know exactly which game you mean, but I am also looking for the name. I was brought up in a pub and we had this as an arcade table type game.
