Another one of those treasure hunts

Postby Gainer on Tue Mar 23, 2010 4:21 am

I'm stumped, browsed through a whole 100+ Playlist at youtube on shoot 'em ups, can't find anything like it. It's an old arcade game that I played back when I was about 6-8, in the 90s. The cabinet had 3 games inside, all pretaining to eachother.

First game was a horizontal shoot 'em up, akin to Contra and Metal Slug. One of the more defining features it that it had a slight cartoonish look to it, similar to the colorful kirby games in terms of design. It also had "tiers" that you could play on. A high and low, which you could jump between in order to manage the havok that unfolded. It was two player, with the main characters looking steam punk, with blonde hair and elf ears. ANd a elf chick was kidnapped which is what set the whole thing off.

Second game was more or less the same, characters, and such, but it was a flying horizontal shooter and more serious graphical style. Their flyers were hangliders, similar to what Strider would use either Yellow or Gold in color.

Third game was a cutesy very colorful puzzle game, where I believe you controlled a pink fluff or something. It involved moving around blocks to do...Something. <<; Been a very very long time. It had character icons and such from the other two games within it.

Any one able to help me with what it is?
