450 in 1 Gamebox - will this work?

Postby Fredator on Tue Aug 31, 2010 12:12 pm

Hi guys,

Amazing forum you've got here! Being a complete noob, I am currently reading up on a lot of stuff at the same time.

Here is my situation: on saturday, I bought a Masterplay arcade cabinet containing a 2-Slot MVS Board. I am currently having a blast playing Metal Slug X and Samurai Showdown 2. Earlier today, I found this: http://www.arcademachines.ie/shopping/product_info.php?products_id=64

Amazing deal, if you ask me. I've seen these collections all over eBay and in several stores. I was initially gonna buy an MVS collection (150 in 1), but since this baby comes with both MVS and Jamma classics (Knights of the Round!) I really want to get this one.

Here is my question - will this 450 in 1 Gamebox be plug & play? If not, what else will I need to make it work?

Thanks a lot, guys!

Hi Fredator!

What you have is a MVS board, this is a Neo-Geo board which accepts Neo Geo cartridges only. What you need to get to get the 450 in 1 working is either a MVS to Jamma adaptor or swapping out the MVS board with a Jamma board. Good luck! :)
